What does a Bosch ebike service include?
A Bosch ebike service is done with Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3 and covers the drive unit, battery and display. Below are the six parts of the service.

Certified work with Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3
Marko Ristivojević, on behalf of the MTB Evolution club, completed Bosch training and earned certification to use the Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3 system for electric bikes. The training was completed on 25 July 2025, and since then our Bosch ebike service in East Sarajevo has worked with the latest Bosch diagnostic software.

Error readout and system diagnostics
Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3 reads the error history and checks communication between the drive unit, battery and display. Errors the rider can't see on the display are often found only this way. To learn what the codes on your display mean, see our guide to Bosch eBike error codes.

Software update for drive, battery and display
We install the latest software versions through the Bosch portal for the drive unit, battery and display. Updates fix known bugs and optimize system performance, and the update confirmation goes into the report.

Battery test: State of Health and charge cycles
The battery is the most expensive component of an e-bike. We measure State of Health (SoH), the number of charge cycles and remaining capacity, so you know its condition before a long ride, or before buying or selling a used bike.

Supported Bosch eBike systems
We cover Active Line, Active Line Plus, Performance Line, Performance Line CX and Cargo Line drives, including Smart System. Displays: Purion, Intuvia, Kiox and Nyon. Batteries: PowerPack and PowerTube, including the DualBattery configuration. Call us for the exact model and model year.

Service report and mechanical service
After diagnostics you get a PDF report with the battery condition, software versions and component serial numbers. If the diagnostics reveal a mechanical problem, we service the bike in the same workshop.

Maintenance record
The report documents the condition and regular maintenance of your bike. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and the bike seller, so check them for your model.

Diagnostics and a software update usually take 30 to 45 minutes. If we find a fault, we'll tell you before continuing the work.
For the annual Bosch ebike service there is also an E-bike package for 150 KM: Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3 analysis, a firmware update with a report and contact protection with dielectric grease, plus everything from the Premium package.

What is Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3?
Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3 is Bosch software for diagnosing eBike systems in the workshop. It reads errors, updates the software of the drive unit, battery and display, and issues a report. Our workshop has been certified to use it since 25 July 2025.
How much does a Bosch ebike service cost?
Bosch diagnostics costs 50 KM and includes a detailed diagnostic report. The E-bike package costs 150 KM. Parts and additional work are charged separately.
How long does Bosch diagnostics take?
Diagnostics and a software update usually take 30 to 45 minutes. If we find a fault that needs repair, the time is extended, and we'll give you an estimate before continuing the work.
How often should Bosch diagnostics be done?
At least once a year, ideally before the season. Also get diagnostics before buying or selling a used e-bike, after a crash or impact, when an error appears on the display and when you notice a loss of power.
Does servicing with you affect my e-bike's warranty?
Diagnostics and software updates are documented with a system condition report. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and the bike seller, so check with them for your specific case.
