Why Bosnia

Why Bosnia and Herzegovina for cycling tourists

A cycling holiday in Bosnia and Herzegovina means trails close to the city, mountains within reach and a bike service that is there if something goes wrong. Sarajevo and East Sarajevo make a good base: Trebević, Igman and Bjelašnica are all nearby, and the Ćirina pruga is an easy green ride.

A cycling holiday in Bosnia and Herzegovina starts at home, and the cheapest fault is the one found before departure. Check your brakes, drivetrain, tyres and suspension. If you travel a long way, you can also have the bike checked with us on your first day, before you head out on the trail.

On the road

What to do when your bike fails on the road

Even a well-prepared cycling holiday in Bosnia and Herzegovina can bring a flat tyre or a broken chain. Four steps keep a small fault from ruining the day.

Step 1

Stop and assess

Move off the road or trail, check the fault and do not force a damaged part.

Step 2

Send location and photo

Message +387 66 902 418 on Viber or WhatsApp with your Live Location and a photo of the fault.

Step 3

Mobile mechanic or workshop

The mechanic comes to you, or you bring the bike to the workshop in Vojkovići if the area is outside the service zone.

Step 4

Get back on the bike

After the repair, agree whether a full check is needed before the next stage of your trip.
